Little Bushi (ages 4-7)

(Bushi means "Warrior" in Japanese)

Students in this class will learn basic self-defense, awareness of your surroundings, and stranger danger. This class will also help them improve their coordination, focus, and balance; as well as sharpening their manners, courtesy of others, respect, and basic discipline. In addition, they will have the opportunity to develop friendships and build their social skills.

This program will be a great way for children to begin training in a fun yet structured environment under a patient Sensei. Students will learn basic martial arts skills in exciting ways that will keep them motivated and focused. The lessons learned are done so at an age-appropriate level with material that gives a strong foundation as they begin their martial arts journey.

Youth (ages 8 - 12)

This class will be a great way for students to harness their strength, whether they are beginners or have had some previous experience. Our program helps children of all ages and skill levels to improve themselves both mentally and physically. Students begin, or continue, to learn fundamentals such as respect, discipline, confidence, self-defense, and so much more. Our classes also offer opportunity to make new friends while learning valuable life skills, and continuing to develop their martial arts skills in a fun, yet structured environment.

Teen and Adult (ages 13 and up)

These classes offer any skill level the opportunity to learn methods and kata based on a traditional Shorin-Ryu Karate style. Students learn the fundamental stances, blocks, kicks, and strikes combined with kata/forms. We also emphasize the practical applications of street self-defense, weapons defense (kobudo), and more.

We additionally offer these classes either as a group or one-on-one training by appointment.
